Position of Depot : Bus stop at Oga Sta.
Oga station is the last stop on the JR Oga Line. The Namahage Shuttle conects with tourism spots of Oga from Oga station as a starting point.
Oga Onsen Village
Position of Depot : In front of Oga hot spring"Gofu"(near the footbath)
The Oga Hot Spring Village(lots of hotels) is located in the north part of Oga. If you stay at Oga Hot Spring Village and take Namahage Shuttle, you could easily visit the main tourism spots (near by accomodation) Oga Aquarium GAO, Namahage Museum and Cape Nyudozaki.
If you stay in Oga Hot Spring "Bettei Tsubaki" and reserve a picking up service , hotel staff will pick you up to a depature and arriving spot of Namahage Shuttle. You need to book with Oga Hot Spring "Bettei Tsubaki" directly not this Namahage Shuttle service.
Oga Aquarium GAO
Position of Depot : In front of Oga Aquarium GAO
At the corner of the Sea of Oga water tank, there are 2,000 fish and 40 different kinds. You can enjoy to see Akita prefectural Fish, Hatahata(Sand fish) all year at only this aquarium. Not only Hatahata fish, popular animals like polar bear "Gota" are waiting for your visit.
Shinzan area
Position of Depot : In front of Namahage Museum and Shinzan Shrine
There are 150 Namahage masks and costumes in the Namahage Museum. At the adjacent Oga Shinzan Folklore Museum, you could experience Namahage festival of New year's eve. Also at the Shinzan Shrine, there is Kaya tree over one thousand years old that is asocciated with Namahage and Kankitendo that is good to find love.
Nyudozaki
Position of Depot : Near rotary in front of lighthouse
This place is the best secenery of Oga. You are charmed with the beautiful blue sky and sea. Also Cape Nyudozaki Lighthouse is a symbol and the white and black stripe pattern is arresting. This lighthouse is designated as one of 50 good Japanese lighthouses.
Unshoji
Position of Depot :
In 2017, Oga was listed on Bucket list as one of world's spectacular view spot, "Best views in Japan 2017" and as another new must-see sight in Oga, the "Hydrangea Temple Unshoji" was added. Big clustered hydrangeas raised by the chief deputy priest, Konaka Shoun, bloom in gorgeous blue all over the temple during the season. It took about 15 years for the priest to raise flowers using his special techniques. During the peak season, from the middle of June and the beginning of July, thousands of hydrangea plants create a stunning sea of blue blossoms. He was very particular about the blue color, in the back of the hydrangeas in all their glory is the port city of Kitaura, with the ocean of Oga spreading beyond. It produces a scenery that can only be appreciated from here. Every year the best time to see them is from mid-June to early July.
寒風山回転展望台
Position of Depot : 寒風山回転展望台入口付近
全国でも希少となってきている回転展望台です。約13分間で一回転し、360度の大パノラマを満喫できます。天気がいいと北には白神山地、南には鳥海山を望むことができます。近年では秋田湾や能代湾海岸線沿いに並ぶ風力発電の大型風車群や、洋上風力発電所も一望できます。
滝の頭
Position of Depot : 滝の頭駐車場
「滝の頭水源浄水場」として管理され、男鹿市内の生活用水として生活を支えています。1日あたり約2万5千トンの湧水があり、貯水している池はエメラルドグリーンが鮮やかです。施設内には湧水を均等に分けるために昭和30年代に設置された円形分水口や、お不動様を祭る今木神社があります。見学の際は、浄水場の事務所で見学のお申込み手続きをお願いします。【見学受付時間：10時～15時／通年見学可能】
