Akita Funakata-Bushi National Meeting

Oga is the birthplace of Akita Funakata-Bushi. Regardless of pro or amateur, singers gather in Oga to compete. Started on 1988, it has been held on November's third weekend at Oga Cultural Center. Close to 180 participants compete, making it one of the biggest and hardest folk song competition.
