Ohtaki Falls
A 3-4 minute drive from Hachibodai and Namahage Auto Campground, turn at the small sign for "Ohtaki" and walk down a narrow path through overgrown trees.
Cross the river that is 2 to 3 m wide and you will eventually see the waterfall.
Surrounded by towering rocks and trees and splashing water, the scene is not only majestic but also mysterious.
It is said that the Edo period traveler Sugae Masumi also visited this place.
It's a one-hour walk back and forth from the entrance.
Because it is necessary to cross the river and go over the muddy ground, you need to wear boots and clothes that are safe even if they get dirty.
Also, please note that it may be dangerous after rain or due to rising water.
