Funakawa God Festival

Every year on May 20th and 21st, Funakawa God Festival is held in the Funakawa area. It is to pray for rich catch, safety both on ports and boats. Towards the end, Mikoshi is transferred onto a ship and the ship will circle around the port three times. This tradition has been continued from 1968, well known as "Mikoshi-no-Kaijyotogyo"
