Oyamakake

From the old days, "Oyamakake" hiking has been held for children to become an adult, a ritual to grow up.
The hike starts from the Northern part Shinzan Shrine and continues to Honzan and Kenashi-yama.
The hiking path is surrounded by Akita ceder, and along the way alpine plants can be seen as well.
Not to mention the facinating view from the mountain top.
At the end of the "Oyamakake" hiking path, Goshado Shrine and Choraku Temple is located, and it adds a nice historical touch to the experience.
